The evolution of brand communication

Pre-1994: Static

Brands delivered messages outward. Broadcast TV, print, and radio carried one message to broad audiences, with no possible response loop.

1994 – 2024: Digital

Bruce Amick’s career spans media, technology, and finance. He named the company Intentful years before intent-driven AI became a market focus, because he recognized early that understanding customer intent would be central to the future of brand communication. His prior leadership roles include Broadway.com, The Shubert Organization, and BBVA, where his work centered on technology-led innovation, platform scaling, and complex operational ecosystems.

Alex Scherban has 30+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership. In 2022, Intentful built a project for Oxford’s Saïd Business School that impersonated William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, and Oscar Wilde for a debate at the Oxford Union. The project executed a concept by Dr. Alex Connock and launched months before ChatGPT was released publicly.

For the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), Intentful powered Ritbot, the AI alter ego of Marketing Professor Mark Ritson.
